ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 218, (4.21 grams), obv. radiate bust of Elagabalus draped and cuirassed to right, around IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around MARS VICTOR, Mars naked except for cloak floating behind advancing right holding a transverse spear and trophy over shoulder, (S.2085, RIC 122, RSC 113). Struck on a large flan, nearly extremely fine, scarce.
