BURMA, standard weight of the Burmese kings, the standing snake, opium weight issued 19th century, weight 25.8 grams, height 21mm, corresponding to one and a half Kyat. (Robinson and Shaw, The Coins and Banknotes of Burma, Chapter 5, cf.pp.31-4 [figure 1-13, type not noted], M.-). Very fine and rare.
