GALERIUS MAXIMIAN, as Caesar, (A.D. 306-311), gold aureus, Aquileia mint, issued 303, (5.29 grams), obv. MAXIMIANVS CAESAR, laureate head to right of Maximianus, rev. around IOVI CONSERVATORI, SMAQ in exergue, Jupiter standing to left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, (S.14210, RIC 9 [P.311], C.-, Calico 4915). Attractive even round strike good extremely fine and very rare.
