P. PORCIUS LAECA, (110-109 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.81 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head right, ROMA above, X below chin, P. LAECA behind, rev. Roman warrior standing left, placing hand on head of citizen, lictor behind, [PROVOCO] in exergue, (S.178, Cr.301/1, Syd.571, RSC Porcia 4); C. Egnatius Cn.f.Cn.n. Maxsumus, (c.75 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.43 grams), obv. Liberty with diadem, draped bust to right, cap and MAXSVMVS behind, rev. Roma and Venus standing facing, the former holding spear and sword, foot on wolf's head, the latter holding a sceptre while being caressed by Cupid, rudder on prow on either side, CN.N on right, [M] to left, [C. EGNATIVS. CN.F] in exergue, (S.326, Cr.391/3, Syd.787, RSC.Egnatia 2). Fine. (2)
