MARK ANTONY AND OCTAVIAN, (40-39 B.C.), silver denarius, mint moving with Mark Antony probably struck in Italy, (3.76 grams), obv. head of Mark Antony to right, M. ANTON. IMP. III. VIR. R.P.C. around, rev. bare head of Octavian to right, CAESAR IMP III VIR R.P.C. around, (S.1507, Cr.528/2a, RSC 1). Banker's mark on obverse cheek, grey patina, nearly very fine and rare.

This piece was probably struck by Mark Antony to commemorate the reconciliation of the triumvirs Antony, Octavian and Lepidus.
