CLAUDIUS, (A.D. 41-54), AE quadrans, Rome mint, issued A.D. 42, (2.74 grams), obv. three legged modius, around TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG, rev. S C in centre around PON M TR P IMP COS II; (cf.S.1865, RIC 88, BMC 179). Dark brown patina, slight chip on flan, otherwise very fine - good very fine and very rare.
