MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 172, (3.15 grams), obv. laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXVI, rev. around IMP VI COS III, Mars standing to right, resting on spear and shield, (S.4901, BMC 555, RIC 261, RSC 290). Lightly toned, very fine and scarce.
