SICILY, Syracuse, reign of Hiketas, (288-279 B.C.), AE 22, (8.34 gm), obv. bust of youthful laureate head of Zeus Hellanios to left, trophy behind, **[DIOS ELLANIOU]* to right, rev. eagle to left with open wings standing on thunderbolt, to left a star, traces on left **SURAK OSIWN*, (S.1212, cf.BMC 468, Favorito 50e-h, SNG ANS 810-1). Brown patina, extremely fine and very scarce.
