JULIUS CAESAR, (assassinated 44 B.C.), silver denarius, issued 42 B.C., Rome mint, (3.81 grams), obv. Caesar's wreathed head to right, caduceus before, laurel branch behind, rev. bull charging right, L.LIVINEIVS above, REGVLVS below (S.1425, Cr.494/24, Syd.1106, RSC 27). Toned, very light surface pitting, very fine or better and rare with an impressive portrait of Caesar.
