AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Caesar Augusta), issued 19-18 B.C. (3.74 grams), obv. bare head of Augustus to right around CAESAR AVGVSTVS, rev. OB [CI]VIS/ SERVATOS in two lines between which is an oak-wreath, (cf.S.1625, RIC 75a, RSC 210). Attractive dark tone, slightly off centre on reverse, otherwise good very fine and rare.
