SICILY, Syracuse, (c.445 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.20 gm), obv. quadriga to right, Nike flying above crowning horses, rev. head of Artemis-Arethusa to right with hair enclosed in sakkos, ornamented with meander and zig-zag pattern, around four dolphins, traces of **SURAKOSION* around, (cf.S.931, Boeh. 656 [V.331/R451] 12 noted, McClean 2688, Pozzi 594). Toned, broad obverse flan, nearly very fine and rare.
