SASANIAN KING, Kavad I, (A.D. 488-496, 498-531), silver drachms, first reign issue, year 11, AU (Ahwaz) (illustrated), another undated, NI (Nihavand mint) not noted in Sellwood for first reign; second reign issue, year 36, HR (Herat) (holed), another year 19, DA (Darabgird), another year 30 GD (Jay), obv. bust to right with crown, name in outer margin, crescents on shoulders, and streamers rising from headress into margin for second reign issue, name in margin, rev. fire altar with attendants star and crescent, (Sellwood 51, 52, Gobl 183, 185, 187). Mostly very fine, one holed. (5)
