CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 213, Rome mint, (3.22 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Caracalla standing to right in military dress, two standards behind, around PROFECTIO AVG, (S.6876, RIC 225, RSC 508). Slight flan chip with some hoard patination, otherwise toned, good very fine.
