OCTAVIAN (LATER AUGUSTUS), (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 42 B.C., (3.91 g), obv. Octavian head to right, around C CAESAR III VIR R P, rev. Victory standing to right, holding wreath and palm, around L.LIVINEIVS REGVLVS, (S.1538, Cr.494/25, RSC 443, BMC 4260). Off-centre on reverse, attractive grey tone, good very fine, weak in places and very rare.
