MARCUS AURELIUS, as Caesar under Antoninus Pius, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 156-7, (2.95 g), obv. bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around AVRELIVS CAES[AR AN]TON AVG PII F, rev. around TR POT XI COS II, Virtus standing to left, holding spear and parazonium, (S.4793, BMC 893, RIC 473, RSC 721). Slightly off centred, otherwise extremely fine with a good portrait, scarce.
