SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 193, (2.53 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE [L SEP] SEV PERT AVG, rev. around LIBERAL [AVG] COS, Liberalitas standing left holding abacus and cornucopiae, (S.-, RIC 18, RSC 281); another silver denarius, Emesa mint, issued A.D. 194-5, (3.50 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE L SEP [SEV] PERT AVG COS II, rev. around VICT AVG, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm, (S.-, RIC 424, RSC 675a). Nearly very fine - very fine, both scarce. (2)

Both with collector's tickets. First coin ex Melcher collection.
