ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 218-9, (2.90 g), obv. laureate and draped bust of Elagabalus to right, around IMP CAES ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around MARS VICTOR, Mars , naked with cloak flowing behind waist, advancing right, holding a transverse spear and a trophy over his shoulder, (cf.S.7526, RIC 121, RSC 109). Good very fine.
