SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D. 222-235), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 233, (13.95 g), obv. laureate head of Severus Alexander to right with slight drapery on left shoulder, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG rev. around PM TR P XII COS III PP, S C across field, Sol advancing to left, hand raised, holding whip in left hand, (cf.S.8089, RIC 537, C.-). Dark green patina, about as struck, extremely fine or better and rare in this condition.
