MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, Western Europe, (c.1400 B.C.), copper alloy axe head, (length 135mm), cast in two pieces then hammered together, large flanges at sides, curved blade edge (broken), notch for rope attachment. Attractive green patina, damaged blade, very fine and rare.
