CHINA, Kirin, gold fantasy of 1 tael, dated for 1908 in Chinese, obv. in centre 'Ta Ching Silver Coin' right and left the cyclical date, below in Chinese Kuping one tael, rev. flying dragon surrounded by clouds, above KWANG - HSU, below in English KUOPING ONE TAEL with rosettes either side, (Kann 921-1 (catalogued for silver with reservation). Uncirculated proof-like and apparently unpublished.
