CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, Great Britain cartwheel penny, 1797, obverse shaved smooth and engraved thereon are the initials, 'FAS' above is a cherub face with wings, at the sides crossed arrows, below are overlapped hearts sitting above a wreath of rose and thistle. Very fine.

Believed to relate to Frances Sage, sentenced at Middlesex Goal Delivery on 28 October 1812 to Life; departed on convict transport, Wanstead, arrived at NSW on 9 January 1814 and sent to Parramatta. On 24 September 1823 she was on a list of prisoners assigned.
