ARGENTINA, medal in gold (18ct, 31.9g, 38x55mm) with loop mount, inscribed on obverse 'Al/Bizarro/Del/'Bayern'/Heiurich (sic) Molchin/La U.H.A.V.M./Agradecida/2.9.1923' (to the brave Capt of the 'Bayern' Heinrich Molchin from U.H.A.V.M. in gratitude) within open wreath of oak leaves, reverse, anchor within open laurel wreath. With case of issue inscribed inside lid 'Casa Escasany/Soc.An./Buenos Aires'. Extremely fine.

Heinrich Molchin, Captain of the 'Bayern' a ship built for the Hamburg-American Line in 1921. U.H.A.V.M. - Union Hispano Americana Valle Minor, an educational society founded by Galician emigrants in Argentina. With some research.
