OCTAVIAN AND JULIUS CAESAR, (assassinated 44 B.C.), AE dupondius, South Italy mint (possibly Puteoli), struck 38 B.C., (16.08 g), obv. head of Octavian to right, around CAESAR DIVI.F, rev. wreathed head of Julius Caesar to right, around DIVOS IVLIVS, (S.1569, RPC 620, Cr.535/1, CRI 308). Toned, fine and rare.
