P M TR P IIII COS P P, Alexander standing to left, holding globe and spear, (S.7897, RIC 44, RSC 256) (illustrated); another silver denarius, issued 226, Rome mint, (2.39 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. P M TR P V COS II P P, emperor to left, sacrificing at altar, holding patera, (S.7899, RIC 55, RSC 289). First nearly very fine and very rare as a reverse brockage, second very fine and struck from a broken obverse die. (2)
