L.SULLA, anonymous issue, (c.81 B.C.), silver denarius, mint uncertain probably moving with Sulla, (3.50 g), obv. Venus head to right, within dotted border, rev. Q below, double cornucopiae, dotted border, (S.303, Cr.375/2, Syd.755, B.Cornelia 33). Toned, very fine and very scarce. $$ An emergency issue by Sulla in Italy to finance the various military campaigns of the period.
