SICILY, Syracuse, time of Hieron II, (275-216 B.C.), AE 19, (4.25 g), obv. Head of Persephone to left, rev. bull butting to left, club and KN [K reversed], IE in exergue, (S.1218, cf.Calciati 191 (p.348), cf.SNG ANS 581, cf.SNG Morcom 810). Very fine with attractive green patina, scarce.
