SASANIAN KING, Shapur I, (240-270), silver drachm, (3.74 g), obv. bust to right with crown, rev. fire altar with attendants, plain shaft no dots below altar, (cf.Sellwood Plate I, No.12, cf.Gobl 32, Paruck 79, M.812). Very fine and rare, face damaged intentionally.
