CLODIUS ALBINUS, (A.D. 195-197), silver denarius, Rome mint issued A.D. 195, (3.03 g), obv. bare head of Clodius Albinus to right, around D CLOD SEPT ALBIN CAES, rev. around COS II, Aesculapius standing left, feeding snake which coils up around staff at his side, (S.6140, RIC 2, BMC 88, RSC 9). Toned, areas of weakness on reverse, otherwise good very fine and very scarce.
