Taprell Dorling DSO, RN, 1960, 296; Collecting Medals and Decorations by Alec Purves, 1983, 237pp; European Orders and Decorations to 1945 by Peter Duckers, 2008, 112pp; Honours and Awards Indian Army 1914-1921 by J.B. Hayward & Son, from original 1931 roll of honour, 302pp. The last with foxing, the first with pencil notations in margin, otherwise fine - extremely fine. (7)

Brigadier D B Rendell CBE MC, late of the Middlesex Regiment, founder member of the Parachute Regiment (2 Para 1942-1945) and Provost Marshal (Army) died on 22 September 2010. Rheindahlen was a military base, (Joint Headquarters), in M”nchengladbach, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany active from 1954 to 2013. It functioned as the main headquarters for British forces in Germany.
