Victory on biga to right, D.SILANV[S L.F. / ROMA] in exergue, (S.225, Cr.337/3, Syd.646); Q. Titius, (c.90 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.53 g), obv. head of young Bacchus wearing ivy wreath to right, rev. Q.TITI on tablet from which springs Pegasus to right, (S.239, Cr.341/2, Syd.692, RSC Titia 2); D Junius Brutus Albinus, (c.48 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.69 g), obv. helmeted head of young Mars to right, rev. ALBINV[S BRVTI F] two carnyces in saltire, oval shield above, round shield below, (S.426, Cr.450/1, Syd.941, RSC Postumia 11). Very good - good fine, last rare, mostly toned. (3)

The last coin was a moneyer born as Decimus Junius Brutus who was adopted into the Postumia gens. He changed his name to Decimius Postumius Albinus, though he still styled himself Bruti filius 'son of Brutus'. He was to be one of the assassins of Julius Caesar on the Ides of March in 44 B.C.
