L. CENSORINUS WITH P. Crepusius and C. Limetanus, silver denarius, issued 82 B.C., Rome Mint, 3.89 grams, C.360/1b, S.736a, Cf.BMC 2640, Sear Marcia 27 (p.64), Obv. Diademed and veiled bust of Venus to r. behind bust L. CENSORIN, Rev. Venus in biga to r. the number XXXVII above, C.LIME TA(ligated) below horses, P.CREPVSI in exergue. Toned, nearly extremely fine, very scarce, (50).

The moneyers P. Crepusius is not known, L. Censorinus is presumably the father of L. Marcius Censorinus Consul in 39 B.C., and if he was not proscribed may be identified with the Censorinus attested as Legate in 70 B.C. C. Limetanus is presumably the son of C. Mamilius Limetanus a tribune of the Plebs in 109 B.C.
