AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C.-14 A.D), silver denarius, issued shortly after 27 B.C., Uncertain Mint, 3.73 grams, RIC 547b (Original RIC 239 or265), C.22, BMC 307, Ashmolean 113, Obv. Augustus head to l. border of dots, Rev. AVGVSTVS below capricorn to r. holding globe attached to rudder and bearing a cornucopiae. Off centred, lightly toned, good fine or better, rare, (74).
