CLAUDIUS AND NERO, (50-54 A.D.), silver denarius, issued 50-54 A.D., Rome Mint, 3.55 grams, RIC 77 (Original RIC 98), BMC 87, C.312 (Nero). Obv. Bust of Nero bare-headed to l. around NERO CLAVD CAES DRVSVS GE[RM PRINC IV]VENT, Rev. SACERD COOPT IN OMN CONL SVPR[A NVM EX S C] around Simpulum (to r.) on the l. and lituus (to l.) on r. above tripod and patera respectively. Off centre as usual, minor scratches, good fine and rare.
