NERO, (54-68 A.D.), silver denarius, issued 64-65 A.D., Rome Mint, 3.17 grams, RIC 53 (Original RIC 45), BMC 74, C.119. Obv. Laureate head of Nero bearded to r. around NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, Rev. IVPPI[TER] CVSTOS, Jupiter, bare to waist, seated l. on throne, r. hand holds thunderbolt, l. hand long sceptre. Good fine/fine, scarce, (85).
