Laureate head of Trajan to r., around AYT KAIC NEP TPAIANOS CEB GEPM, Rev. Two lyres (chelyes); perched on them an owl to r. with facing head. Mostly fine, first very rare, last scarce, (193-5, 251). (4)

The first coin is not listed in Sear or any of the other references. This is a variant of the obverse legend by the additional Consul year to VI, and is not known with a Pax reverse. Obviously a mule between the earlier Pax reverse used in the ...COS V obverse legends and the new ...COS VI obverse legends. The issue of 112 A.D. with the PAX reverse and COS VI obverse must have PAX in the exergue.
