ELAGABALUS, (218-222 A.D.), silver antoninianus, issued 218 A.D., Rome Mint, 4.49 grams, RIC 122, BMC 19-20, C.112, Obv. Radiate bust to r., of Elagabalus, draped and cuirassed seen from behind, around IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG, Rev. MARS VICTOR around, Mars, naked except for cloak floating behind waist, advancing to the r., holding spear transversely and trophy over shoulder; another similar 4.82 grams; another similar 5.19 grams. Very fine - nearly extremely fine, (375-377). (3)
