VENVS CAELESTIS Venus seated left, holding apple and sceptre, (S.2171, RIC 243, RSC 14); Julia Maesa, grandmother of Elagabalus, (A.D. 218-222, d.225), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.07 g), obv. draped bust of Julia Maesa to right, around IVLIA MAESA AVG, rev. SAECVLI FELICITAS around, Felicitas standing to left sacrificing out of patera over altar, holding a caduceus, star to right, (S.2188, RIC 271, RSC 45); another similar (2.88 g). Toned, very fine - extremely fine. (3)
