PUPIENUS, (238 A.D.), silver denarius, issued 238 A.D., Rome Mint, 2.52 grams, RIC 1, BMC 42, C.6, Obv. Laureate bust of Pupienus to r. draped and cuirassed seen slightly from behind, IMP C M CLOD PVPIENVS, around, Rev. CONCORDIA AVGG around, Concordia seated to l. on throne, holding patera and double cornucopiae. Has been harshly cleaned, fine and rare, (333).
