VETRANIO, (350 A.D.), AE 23 (centenionalis), issued 350 A.D., Thessalonica mint, 5.44 g, RIC 126, Sear 4043, obv. Around D N VETRAN IO P F AVG, laureate bust r., of Vetranio, draped and cuirassed; rev. VIRTVS EXERCITVM around, in exergue T S Delta, bare headed and in military dress, standing facing, head to l., holding standard with Chi-Rho on the banner and resting l. hand on shield. Nearly extremely fine and very scarce, (1141).
