SOUTH ATLANTIC MEDAL 1982, with rosette denoting service in combat zone attached to ribbon. WEM(R)1 D B Masterson D183906A HMS Minerva. Impressed. Extremely fine.

HMS Minerva left Portsmouth on 10 May 1982 for the Falklands War as part of the reinforcement group led by HMS Bristol. On arrival she relieved Argonaut as an AA picket in San Carlos Water. During the war she directed a Sea Harrier attack on an enemy C-130 Hercules aircraft. She returned to HMS Plymouth on 3 August 1982.
