GROUP OF FOUR: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19 with MID; Volunteer Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (GVR). Lieut. S.L.E. Skeen, A.S.C. on first medal, Capt. S.L.E. Skeen on second and third medals, Tpr. S.L.E. Skeen. N. Bengal M. Rif. A.F.I. on last medal. All medals impressed. Display mounted, extremely fine.

Sydney Louis Ernest Skeen served as a Trooper with North Bengal Mounted Rifles, Auxiliary Force India for 5 « years prior to enlistment for WWI service. His record indicates he had slight knowledge of Hindustani.
