MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued as Caesar A.D. 148-9, (6.926 grams), obv. bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around AVRELIVS CAE SAR AVG PII F, rev. around CONCORDIA TR POT III COS II, Concordia standing facing, head left, sheltering with her mantle small figures of Marcus Aurelius left and Faustina II on right, (cf.S.1376, RIC 441 variety, cf.C.67, BMC 680). Nearly extremely fine/good very fine and rare.
