MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 18, (6.906 grams), uncertain mint (Amphipolis mint?), obv. head of Apollo wearing taenia to right, rev. nude young male or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, **L* with dot below, above **FILIPPOU*, (cf.S.6698, SNG Alpha Bank 386-7, SNG ANS 935). Well centred, with green patina, very fine and a scarce letter symbol.
