MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.186 grams), Lampsacus mint, issued 310-301 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, Pegasus forepart to left, under throne NO monogram, **[A]LEXAN[DRPOU]* to right, (cf.S.6730, Price 1382, BMC 1382a-c, M.612, SNG Cop. 887). Good very fine, scarce.
