LOKRIS, Lokris Opuntia, (350s B.C.), silver stater, (11.82 g), obv. Persephone, corn wreathed head to left, rev. Ajax son of Oileus, advancing right, with sword and shield decorated with a griffin, broken spear and javelin on ground below, around **OPONTIW[N] (S.2328, BCD 61, SNG Cop. 43). Lightly toned, slightly off centred on the reverse, otherwise good very fine.
