THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachus, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.950 grams), Cyzicus mint, issued shortly after 281 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, reversed AP monogram to left, monogram **PL* in exergue, to left **BASILEWS*, to right **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Thompson -, ANS MN 6 [p,18 No.69, this type], Meydancikkale 2717 var.[pl.22, 247 same obverse die], M.436 [Ephesus]). Blue and red tone, Good very fine/nearly extremely fine and very rare.
