FROM THE AUSTRALIAN FRONT XMAS 1917, First Edition by Cassell and Company, 1917, quarto size paperback, 128pp, with introduction by General Birdwood, frontispiece: Cook drawn by Will Dyson, illustrated throughout with photographs by Capt F. Hurley, Lieut E. Brooks, Lieut H. F. Baldwin, and Lieut G. H. Wilkins, drawings, cartoons, noted owner's name on inside page as 'Pte C.Langbein/NX9049' (2/33 Aust Infy Bn Enl 12.12.39; Disch 4.12.45). Pictorial heavy paper cover, with tears at the spine head and foot, soiled in places, otherwise very fine and extremely scarce.
