BITHYNIA, Kalchedon, (c.240-220 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.166 grams), obv. veiled head of Demeter to right, wreathed in corn, rev. naked Apollo seated to right, on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, before **DI*, and behind ME monogram, weak in exergue **KALC*, (S.3746 [£1000], SNG BMC Black Sea 133, BMC 19). Good fine/fine, some corrosion and chipping, otherwise rare.
