SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius II, second reign, (129-125 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.254 grams), Sidon mint, issued year 128/7 B.C., obv. diademed head of bearded Demetrius II to right within fillet border, rev. Zeus enthroned to left holding Nike and sceptre, to right **BASILEWS DHMHTRIOU*, to left NIKA TOPO**S*, **EPR* and monogram MI in exergue, (S.7103, SNG Spaer 2213-4, ACNAC Houghton 720). Porous obverse, heavily corroded reverse, otherwise nearly very fine/very good.
