ZEUGITANIA, Carthage, (c.241-221 B.C.), AE 33, (20.73 grams), Carthage or Italian mint, obv. head of Tanit to left, crowned with wreath of corn, wearing earring with triple pendant, rev. free horse standing to right, palm tree with fruit behind, line border, (cf.S.6506, M.172, SNG Cop. 344, cf.Visona 35 [dates 235-230 B.C.]). Brown tone, well centred, very fine and very scarce.
